Set of Four Late Georgian Trumpet Bowled Petal Cut Lead Crystal Wine Glasses
This is a set of four stunning wine glasses, probably British in origin and dating to between 1820 and 1830. The trumpet shaped bowl is cut with seven petals that extend down on to the stem as facets. The stem is approximately double capstan shaped; the central knop is cut with seven horizontal diamonds, giving it a multifaceted appearance. The foot is plain and slightly domed, with a central polished pontil. Each glass has a height of approximately 11.0cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.4cm and across the foot of about 6.6cm. There may be minor discrepancies in the dimensions due to the handmade nature of the glasses. They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
